It is rare for the to find a series that continue to keep my attention through multiple books but this has me hooked.....I READ the Alpha series and the only logical thing to do was continue with the characters I had grown to love, Kayla and Harris......I hate that I have to wait until April for the next book to see how these sexy beasts of men rescue their women
Duke and Temple chemistry was excellent. Love how sassy she was. How they could read each other. Very happy, with the way the story is going. Like very much when Lola and Temple meet, as well as when she saw her new friends, aka, Thresh, Harris, Anselm and Puck... Can't hardly wait for Puck's story and also I hope we get to get Anselm's too.
This is the third book in the series and yes, they are connected so reading it in order is kind of important.
Again, the action and passion are explosive and raw.
I would've given it a 5 star if Steven Tyler's name was spelled correctly and Fancy's hands were in the right place.
Aside from that, I'm really loving this series.
The action was better than book 2 but Duke and Temple were not as good as the main characters in book 2, Lola and Thresher. The hero, Duke, was interesting and funny. Temple, does not cut it. The war against super villain Cain was gory and Cain still won this round again. Hopefully A1S, if they have anymore uninjured, operatives left, will bring Cain down.
Duke is just too sweet, "he laughed. “Actually, neither would I.” The laughter turned…lascivious. “I mean, I’d collect your panties, if you wore any.” Duke had patience when it came to his woman

I loved this book, and I'm eager forthe nexr book.
I have loved this entire series, and while I liked this one, it was probably my least favorite so far.
Duke is terrific, but I had a much harder time understanding Temple. Her personality didn't really pop off the page for me.
The bigger problem I had with the book though was that I had the feeling the author couldn't decide where to go with the plot for most of the book, so she just used up page after page describing sex in minute detail to the point that I sort of felt like, "I get it!" I mean there must have been 4 pages alone talking about a single BJ.
Don't get me wrong, there is plenty of action outside of the bedroom, but it only happens in fits and spurts.
Another issue I had was that the couple is involved in some really gory shoot-em-ups to the point that Temple loses her lunch several times. They somehow manage to kiss and have plenty of sex though without any tooth brushing or showering first. I was sort of repulsed by the thought of barf breath and brain matter splatters. I guess I'm funny that way.
I am definitely planning to read the next installment because I need to know what happens next. This one though is about a 3.5 star book for me.
What can I say about Duke? Duke Fricken Silver. From the moment I read a teaser I knew Duke would be my first "book crush" , and holy wowsers Jasinda made him incredibly hot and irresistibly charming and a stud to boot. If I ever get kidnapped, please tie me up next to Duke. The moment you start reading you are drawn to Duke, his actions and his sexual being. From the high intensity security detail to the hot steamy sex. Every bad boy has a soft side and Duke has discovered his. Cannot wait to read more about the A1S boys. Bring em on, I'm ready and waiting.
